Our Focus-PCBF

The Pima County Bar Foundation seeks to support the rule of law through educational outreach, promotion of professionalism and public service, and through support of the endeavors of the Pima County Bar Association and legal community.

Established in July 2016, the Pima County Bar Foundation’s main premise is that legal services should be available to everyone, and we can help make that happen by supporting the community endeavors of the Pima County Bar Association, as well as our own program initiatives. We engage the public in our work through educational outreach, opportunities to give, and celebrations of our mutual success. We welcome the participation of all who care about our community.

Purpose

The purpose for which this Foundation was organized is to serve the Southern Arizona community by:

  • Promoting access to justice and legal assistance through the funding and provision of legal services to the indigent, lower income, and other underserved members of society
  • Supporting and providing educational outreach to the public
  • Promoting the highest ideals of professionalism, public service, and access to the legal system
  • Providing support to charitable community endeavors identified by the Foundation in collaboration with the Pima County Bar Association

The Pima County Bar Foundation’s programs, services, and activities can be grouped under three main focus areas:

  • Provide Legal Services, Resources, & Education
    (e.g., legal clinics, public presentations)
  • Promote Attorney Professionalism & Public Service
    (e.g., annual awards, volunteer appreciation)
  • Participate in Other Charitable Endeavors with the Pima County Bar Association
(e.g., Lawyers For Literacy, Legal Community Against Hunger)

Planned Giving

We encourage donations to the Pima County Bar Foundation's Endowment Fund, which functions much like an interest-earning savings account. Gifts to the endowment are invested, while the principal remains intact to ensure long-term financial stability. Each year, a portion of the earnings is distributed to support current legal resources and programs.

When you give to the Pima County Bar Foundation, you help ensure access to the legal resources our community deserves. Pima County is a wonderful place to live and work, and your support helps keep it that way.

All gifts to the Pima County Bar Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, are tax-deductible and deeply appreciated. PCBF's tx ID# is 81-3891744. Donations help strengthen programs that serve our community and can be planned to provide significant tax advantages, including potential lifetime income.

A charitable bequest through your will is a meaningful way to create a lasting legacy and support future generations.  Make your legacy gift HERE or contact execdir@pimacountybar.org
