Legal problems can be confusing when you do not know where to turn for help. The Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) program can help you find a private attorney who has experience with your particular type of legal problem.
We have a panel of experienced attorneys in many areas of law (see LIST OF LEGAL AREAS). Each LRS attorney must be a member of the State Bar of Arizona (the licensing authority for lawyers), and must be experienced in the area of law for which s/he receives referrals.
For a non-refundable fee of $35 due at the time of the referral, the Lawyer Referral Service will provide you with a licensed attorney who will provide you with a 30-minute consultation. During this time, the attorney will offer:

, that briefly states your question/matter and a daytime phone number and hours that you can be reached by phone.
2. The LRS Operator will talk with you by phone about the nature of your situation and help determine whether you would benefit from speaking with a private attorney in LRS. You will be provided with information about the LRS program and referrals to other community resources, if appropriate.
3. If you decide to use our service, you will be given the name, phone number and address of a private attorney who has experience with your particular type of legal problem, and who will provide a 30-minute consultation to discuss your situation. There is a non-refundable $35 fee due at the time of the referral, and two options of fee payment:
PAY BY PHONE with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express
PAY BY MAIL in advance with a check or money order sent to:
LRS, P.O. Box 2189, Tucson, AZ 85702.
Make check payable to LRS and please include your name and daytime phone number.
Upon receipt of your payment, we will contact you by phone within two business days.
What To Expect When You Consult With The Lawyer
It is important that you bring all papers related to your legal problem to the meeting. It will save you time and money.
If further legal service is needed and you choose to have the lawyer handle your legal matter, you will need to discuss the lawyer's fees during the meeting.
Fees are based on the time and type of work involved and the difficulty in handling the legal concern. Be sure you understand what the lawyer will do and how the fee will be determined. You should ask the lawyer for a written fee agreement explaining how the fee will be determined.
